Chief engineering duties include:
Train and manage staff of 9 recordists, editors, sweeteners and mixers in sound design, voice editing and music editing and composition using all technologies ranging from analog consoles and tape to digital consoles and computer based recording systems.

Record and mix, edit and sweeten audio to video for advertising clients. Clients include the top advertising agencies and products in television commercials including Nike, Nissan, Levis, Coke, Mitsubishi, Milk, Intel and Apple.

Recording Engineer

Sonic Studios, Hollywood, CA 1993 - 1995

Responsible for all operation of all technical elements including Neve 8048, Neve VR recording console and Studer A-827 Multi-track recorders.

Accomplishments:

Created and implemented the Elias Digital Studio Complex. This is a network of computer based audio and video recording, mixing and editing systems, resulting in tripled productivity.

Oversaw construction and installation of duplicate studio complexes in Santa Monica and New York.

Beta Tester of the Mark of the Unicorn's 2408, a breakthrough hard disk recording system for computers. One of the first eight engineers in the world to work with it.

Designed and built the Elias Reuse system. This is an internet accessible system that allows an unlimited user base to quickly search and audition millions of sound files by multiple criteria for future export in a variety of sound types. This created considerable previously untapped revenue sources by enabling Elias to create a music library using its unsold musical compositions.

Pioneered off-site composer and artist system. This enables musicians to collaborate with Elias from anywhere in the world, thus giving Elias an unlimited talent pool of composers and performers to draw from.

Created and handle all librarian duties for one of the largest sound effects libraries available in the industry encompassing over 2 terabytes of data. Helped pioneer Elias Sound, a spin-off company with sound designers in Santa Monica and New York.

Recorded and mixed album projects and worked with Alanys Morisett, James Taylor, and Linda Ronstadt.

Perform, whistle and sing on numerous national commercials. Instruments include saxophone, clarinet, flute and bass. Proficient in reading and arranging music.
